Jon The Beekeeper

Jon decided this spring to get some bees.  He has them in the back of our property and he goes out and checks on them each week.  The kids have had a fun time watching him get all dressed in his beekeeper suit.  Jack keeps asking if he can order him a little suit so he can go look at the bees closer!

Jack Summer Baseball 2012

Jack played baseball this summer and did a great job.  He had an awesome coach that lived across the street from us and had Jack over to practice a lot.  He improved on his batting and throwing as the season went on.

Jack loved being the catcher!

The Pool Is Finally Done!

They came one day and prepared the deck for the cement.
We had them pour such a large deck that they had to do it in two days.
The last step was to put a type of pool concrete in the bottom and sides of the pool to make it smooth before putting the liner in.
The liner comes in one big piece.  It was fun to finally see the one we picked.  It was a hard decision as to which one we should use.  They give you a brochure with about twenty choices and it was so hard to pick from just a little picture.  But when they finally got it in and it started to fill with water we love it!

It took about two days to fill with water.
The kids waiting patiently for Dad to get home so they could jump in.  It was pretty cold the first day of swimming.  It was only 64 degrees.  They jumped in but didn't stay under too long!  By the next day it had warmed up to 75 degrees.
We are so excited to spend a lot of summer days just sitting and enjoying the pool!

8 Wisdom Teeth Come Out

Brianna & Heidi both got their wisdom teeth out on the same day.  It was probably a good thing since they could help each other with the recovery.  They did pretty good but were pretty goofy on the drive home.

Brianna isn't flipping me off she is just holding her ice bag as we go thru the drive-thru at Chick-Fil-A
for a milkshake so they could take their pain medication.

Heidi was the one that was pretty much out of it when we put her in the car.  She kept saying she looked like a walrus!  I was laughing so hard I almost crashed the car.  They tied a string to each of the gauze and had it hanging out of their mouths so we could pull the gauze out easier.

They made sure each other was using their ice packs each hour!

Little Red Riding Hood Ride

Today I got to ride with my girlfriends in the little red riding hood ride.  It is an all women ride here in Cache Valley.  You have different options on how far you want to ride. It was an amazing day with lots of fun!  There were 7 of us that rode together all day and we had a great time.  We just pedaled all day and did lots of talking and laughing.  We all were able to complete the full 100 miles!!!!  Jon and the kids came out and took some pictures of us and cheered us on.  It was a big help to see them at mile 60 when it was getting a little harder to keep going with tired legs and wind that wouldn't stop blowing!

It was an amazing sunrise to start our early morning bike ride
