Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve the kids wanted to go sledding so we headed to a park that is close to our house that has a great hill to sled.

Christmas Eve dinner

Our Christmas program was fun as usual. Some of our kids think they are getting too big to do the navtivity but we still do it! Poor Jack is getting sat on by Heidi!

The kids always sleep in Brianna's room on Christmas Eve

Brianna surprised Jon with this picture frame that she made of some of his pictures from him doing his LOTOJA races the past three years.

The girls made the boys blankets for Christmas this year. They made Coco one also!

Thanksgiving 2009

We spent Thanksgiving at the cabin this year. Part of the Robisons were there and we had a great weekend. It has been a few years since we have gotten together for Thanksgiving and the kids had a great time. Caleb even got to go get a few stitches above his eye from sledding. There wasn't much snow and he hit his eye on a piece of wood!

Caleb waiting for the Doctor to come in and start stitching him up. He was pretty calm here but it didn't last long! It took three of us to hold him down while the Doctor was working.

Mom, Jon & Dad carving the turkey!

One afternoon some of the older kids went with their Dads and went shooting. Steve had his guns and some clay pigeons. I'm not sure it was the safest activity but they had a great time!

Happy Halloween!

We started a few weeks ago celebrating Halloween by making sugar cookies. The kids love to make them and help with all the cutting out and frosting. Jon likes to eat all of them! We made 110 cookies on a friday and by Saturday night they were gone! Now the kids had a few but I think Jon ate almost all of them!

Here we are all carving our pumpkins! Brianna & Heidi weren't too thrilled to have to clean theirs out.
They kept asking Caleb & Mallory to do theirs for them!

The finished projects! What cute designs each of them came up with!

Jon even had to carve a pumpkin that had the LOTOJA symbol on it. We got more comments on that pumpkin than on all the others.

Caleb, Mallory & Jack all ready to go trick or treating for the night. Jon & Grandma Robison took them trick or treating while Grandpa Robison & I stayed home to handout the candy.

Heidi dressed up to go to school for the day as a pirate.

Family Pictures!

Oh the joys of family pictures! I don't know if there is anything more stressful for me than this. I decided we needed to try and get a family picture before the weather turned bad so we hurried and got us all ready one afternoon after school and drove to a park near our house. We decided we would just take the pictures ourselves since it is so hard to get all of us looking at the camera and we have a few children who still don't like pictures taken! I have to say that the pictures we got are better than I expected. I'm just glad to have it over with!

As you can tell in most of the pictures Jack is a handful and is goofy in each of the pictures we tried to take!

Again goofy Jack!

We have three girls who love to pose for pictures!

Jack was afraid he was going to fall into the river below during these pictures!

Red Ribbon Run 2009!

Heidi, Mallory & Caleb decided they wanted to do the red ribbon run this year. Heidi & Mallory have done it in the past but this was Caleb first year doing it. They had a fun morning doing the run with their friends.

The Robison's and the Goldman's all ready to start the run!

Way to go Caleb! He did the 1 mile by himself and was able to finish it. He got seperated from his friend and still went on to finish the race.

At the finish line with their medals.
Heidi and Mallory did the 5K and Caleb did the 1 mile.
We are proud you!

Sky View High School Tennis 2009!

Brianna made the high school girls tennis team again this year. She had a great season with 9 wins and 2 losses. It was so fun to follow the team around and watch them play. Brianna has really improved over the year and had some great matches. She ended up playing 2nd singles for the team and took 1st in JV singles in regions! Way to go Bri! We are proud of you!

Brianna's First Date! Homecoming 2009!

The time has come that Brianna is old enough to date and she had her first date for homecoming. Where have the years gone? Jon & I don't feel old enough to have a daughter ready to date! Brianna spent a couple days going to all the dress stores in town to find the dress she liked and then she took me back once she had narrowed it down to five! It was so fun to watch her trying them on. Her friend Ashley did her hair for her and she looked so beautiful. For her day date they went shooting and had lunch. She had a blast learning how to shoot a gun for the first time! She was even able to shoot a couple of the clay pigeons!

LOTOJA 2009

Jon decided he wanted to put a test to his body again this year and did LOTOJA for the third year! Why anyone would want to ride a bike 206 miles in one day is crazy to me. We decided to take the kids this year to see him do this race and they had a great time. It was fun to have them with me during the day to cheer him on at the feed zones and along the road when we saw him. Everyone but Brianna was able to go with me. Brianna felt bad but she had a tennis tournament she had to be at in St. George that weekend. Once again this year we had a house full of company all getting ready for the big day. Alan and his family, Tee and her family with Mindy this year, and also McKay a friend of Alans that came this year to do the race also. Needless to say it was total chaos and lots of people but we all did fine!

Coming into the first feed zone Jon felt good!

One last mountain to climb and Jon still looked good for being almost done!

Coming across the finish line in 10 hrs. 30 mins.!
Way to go Jon we are proud of you!

Jon & Alan after a long day of riding 206 miles!
What an awesome accomplishment!

The support crew at the end of the day! Heidi is the only one not in the picture, she was the photographer for the day and got some great pictures of Jon.

3 times doing it and 3 times able to finish!
We love you and are proud of you Jon!
