Sky View High School Tennis 2009!

Brianna made the high school girls tennis team again this year. She had a great season with 9 wins and 2 losses. It was so fun to follow the team around and watch them play. Brianna has really improved over the year and had some great matches. She ended up playing 2nd singles for the team and took 1st in JV singles in regions! Way to go Bri! We are proud of you!

Brianna's First Date! Homecoming 2009!

The time has come that Brianna is old enough to date and she had her first date for homecoming. Where have the years gone? Jon & I don't feel old enough to have a daughter ready to date! Brianna spent a couple days going to all the dress stores in town to find the dress she liked and then she took me back once she had narrowed it down to five! It was so fun to watch her trying them on. Her friend Ashley did her hair for her and she looked so beautiful. For her day date they went shooting and had lunch. She had a blast learning how to shoot a gun for the first time! She was even able to shoot a couple of the clay pigeons!

LOTOJA 2009

Jon decided he wanted to put a test to his body again this year and did LOTOJA for the third year! Why anyone would want to ride a bike 206 miles in one day is crazy to me. We decided to take the kids this year to see him do this race and they had a great time. It was fun to have them with me during the day to cheer him on at the feed zones and along the road when we saw him. Everyone but Brianna was able to go with me. Brianna felt bad but she had a tennis tournament she had to be at in St. George that weekend. Once again this year we had a house full of company all getting ready for the big day. Alan and his family, Tee and her family with Mindy this year, and also McKay a friend of Alans that came this year to do the race also. Needless to say it was total chaos and lots of people but we all did fine!

Coming into the first feed zone Jon felt good!

One last mountain to climb and Jon still looked good for being almost done!

Coming across the finish line in 10 hrs. 30 mins.!
Way to go Jon we are proud of you!

Jon & Alan after a long day of riding 206 miles!
What an awesome accomplishment!

The support crew at the end of the day! Heidi is the only one not in the picture, she was the photographer for the day and got some great pictures of Jon.

3 times doing it and 3 times able to finish!
We love you and are proud of you Jon!

First Day of School!

Summer once again went by way too fast and it was time to get back to a routine and get the kids back in school. I always hate to see summer end but it is nice to get our life back in order and get us organized.

Brianna was excited this year because she doesn't have to take the bus. She is a junior in high school!
Heidi is a freshman in high school!

Mallory is in the 5th grade!

Caleb is in 2nd grade!

Jack is in his last year of preschool and loves to stay home with Mom!

Happy Birthday Brianna & Heidi

It was a big birthday for both Brianna & Heidi this year. Brianna turned 16 and was very disappointed when the DMV was not open on her birthday to go and get her license! She had to wait until Monday to go and get it. Heidi turned 14 and is now able to go to the church dances!

They love to share their birthdays!

Brianna got a ipod touch.

Heidi got an ihome for her ipod and then they both got rockband to share!

Sweet Sixteen Surprise Party!

We surprised Brianna with a party at Firehouse Pizza with some of her friends. Heidi helped me and we delivered all the invitations and made all the plans. She didn't have a clue we were doing anything until we pulled in the parking lot and she saw all her friends cars. She was really surprised we did this for her! Happy 16th Birthday Brianna!

We came back to our house to have cake and ice cream. After opening presents they spent the evening playing Rockband!

Craig & Christy's Wedding!

We spent the weekend in Salt Lake for Craig & Christy's wedding. It was a fun few days spent with the Robison family. Our kids had a great time running up and down the hall of the hotel from one room to the other with all their cousins. The wedding and reception were beautiful. Brianna & Heidi were able to go to the reception with us and they thought it was great. It was a wonderful dinner and then dancing afterwards. We are excited to welcome Christy into the Robison Family!

Brianna & Heidi were so embarrassed that they had to dance with their Dad! They kept telling us we don't know how to dance!

Brianna was the lucky one that caught the bouquet! I sure hope this doesn't mean that she is the next one to get married, Jon and I aren't ready for that yet!!

Our 1st Garden

We have had a fun summer watching our garden grow! We weren't sure what we would get from everything we planted, but we have had tons and tons of fruits and vegetables all summer. Some of our plants did better than others, but we feel pretty good for our 1st garden.

We canned a lot of dilly beans and pickles.

Jack loves to go to the garden and pick the carrots and just eat them!

Here we are shelling our peas to freeze for the winter. We missed most of our peas while we were in california but we were able to pick a few when we got home.

California & The Death Ride!

We spent a week in California with Grandma & Grandpa Smith and all our cousins. We had a great time swimming and playing everyday! The kids love to be with their cousins. They went back and forth between Grandmas house and Alan and Lisa's to have slumber parties. We spent most days in the swimming pool!

By the end of the week Jack was swimming all over the pool without his floaties!

Jon, Alan & McKay getting ready to leave to go do the Death Ride. The Death Ride is 129 miles with 15000 feet of climbing over 5 mountain passes. It is in Markleeville, CA.

Here is Jon signing his name that he made it over all 5 mountains. He said it was one of the hardest rides he has ever done. We are proud of you Jon!

They all made it to the top of the 5th mountain! Way to go you studs!

On their way to the end of the race. They are smiling since they are finally going downhill!

4th of July

The kids and I spent the 4th of July weekend at the cabin. Jon was unable to go since he had to work the weekend. Heidi took her friend Tara with us and they had a great time.

We were even brave and pulled the canoe out without Jon and took it out on the river each day.

Mesa Falls!

The visitor center at mesa falls.

We went and fed the fish at Big Springs after church.

Camping at Santa Cruz

Grandma and Grandpa weren't around the whole week but we had a great time with them while they were there.  We are glad Grandma is feeling better!

We had a couple of good days that we were able to go and play at the beach.

We spent one night at Boardwalk and the kids had a great time going on all the rides. I even went on a few with Jack!
