Ultimate Challenge

We spent the weekend in Salt Lake and Park City for a bike ride that Jon was doing.  We went to Salt Lake on Friday and did some shopping and watched the pros finish in downtown for the Tour of Utah bike race.  Then we headed up to Park City and Jon did the Ultimate Challenge ride, which is from Park City to Snowbird.  It is a tough bike ride with lots of climbing and very brutal.  He came across the finish line looking pretty beat but he finished it and we are proud of him once again!  We stayed to watch the pros come thru again and then headed home.  It was a fun weekend of eating out, shopping and supporting Jon in his bike ride.

Brianna & Heidi Birthday

Brianna turned 19 this year and Heidi 17!  I can't believe another year has past.  Brianna is getting ready to start her second year at BYU and Heidi is going to be a Senior.  It is sad and exciting to see them both growing up and starting to be more independent.  We had a fun birthday with them.  We took them out to dinner and then Heidi's friends wanted to throw her a surprise party.  When we got home from dinner all her friends were in the backyard waiting for her!  I think that she was a little surprised, but new something was going on.

Brianna didn't know how to open presents without Heidi!  She waited and waited but finally decided to open them by herself.  This is the first time in 17 years she got to open on her own and blow out the candles on the cake by herself!

Heidi's party was finally over around 11:30 and she got to open her presents!

McCall Smith Family Reunion

We decided to go back to McCall Idaho again for our week off this summer.  We love to go and camp in the beautiful campground they have there.  When we decided this is what we wanted to do I invited all of my family and they were all able to come.  It was a great week with a few problems, but for the most part we had a wonderful time.  

We spent each day at the lake.  A couple days we rented a paddle board and a kayak.

One night we took family pictures!  My family just loves it when we take pictures,  I always have to take a ton of pictures to maybe get a few good ones!

We went fishing one night and each person fishing was able to catch one fish.  Thanks Uncle Alan and Grandpa for all the help with the Robison kids.  Jon wasn't able to make the fishing trip with us!

Robison Family Reunion 2012

The Robison reunion this year was a little hard for our family and work schedules.  Jon, Brianna & Heidi had to stay home and work for part of the reunion.  I took the other kids and went to the cabin and then the others came when they could.  We had a fun time with the family.  We did the usual hike, floating the river, playing Bunco, family presentations, a service project and just enjoying visiting with one another.  It is always nice to get together and the kids love to just run around with all the cousins they only see once a year.  

We did a hike one day and it was beautiful!  We drove to the top of Sawtelle and then did a hike that was near that.

The service project for this year was to cut up some old telephone poles for firewood and have the kids carry the logs to the cabin to be split. 

The kids always love to do the fun crafts that are planned.  Jack is painting a pillowcase with the help of Heidi.

Grand Fondo Bike Ride

Jon and I did a bike ride that our good friend Troy Oldham put together.  He has been working for a year to get this ride going and hopes to have it each year.  It was a fun day of riding with great friends.  Jon did the 100 miles and I did the 75 miles.

Jon The Beekeeper

Jon decided this spring to get some bees.  He has them in the back of our property and he goes out and checks on them each week.  The kids have had a fun time watching him get all dressed in his beekeeper suit.  Jack keeps asking if he can order him a little suit so he can go look at the bees closer!

Jack Summer Baseball 2012

Jack played baseball this summer and did a great job.  He had an awesome coach that lived across the street from us and had Jack over to practice a lot.  He improved on his batting and throwing as the season went on.
