Skiing At Beaver Mountain

During the winter the kids and Jon usually go skiing up to Beaver Mountain each Saturday.  Jack and I stay home since Jack is too young to learn to ski yet.  A few weekends ago the kids had a Friday off so we decided to take the family up and ski for the day.  Mallory didn't want to go this day since she was going to have to go the next, so she stayed home and watched Jack so I could go up with them.  It was so fun to go and watch the kids ski.  They are all so good!   I have never seen them ski, since I have always either been home or sitting in the lodge while they have lessons.  We had a great day and we even decided to get Jack a babysitter for the next day and I went with them again.  It was a fun weekend with two days of skiing with the family.

When we got home Jack felt left out so he put on Calebs helmet.  He says he will be big enough to learn to ski next year!

Brianna Receives Her Young Womenhood Award!

After a lot of hard work, Brianna received her young womenhood award in Sacrament meeting.  Way to go Brianna, we are proud of you!  Now she can get her drivers permit, so watch out she will be driving on the roads!

Christmas At the Robisons!

I guess it is time to post our Christmas pictures.   We have had so much fun during the Christmas break that I just didn't want to take the time to do it.  Tomorrow the kids go back to school and I'm sad to see the holidays come to an end.  We have had a great time just relaxing, playing in the snow, skiing, playing games and going to the movies.  We have stayed up way to late and slept in every morning!  It is going to be hard to get up tomorrow and get the kids off to school.  We had a wonderful Christmas spent here at home.  We woke up Christmas morning to snow and it didn't stop all day.  It was so fun to sit and open our presents and watch the snow coming down. The kids have had a great time playing in our backyard in the snow.  They go out each day about 100 times!  I'm getting tired of helping them get snow clothes on and off!!

We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner with the traditional cranberry eggnog that the kids love!

We put the kids in charge of the nativity each year and again they did a great job getting the costumes all out and getting everyone ready.  We also had each of the girls play the piano and then we got our musical bells out and we each played parts in some songs.  Then I did the sand dollar legend and as usual cried as I told it.  I don't think there is a year that I haven't cried yet!

The kids wanted to make cookies for Santa so we made some quick cookies before they went to bed!  We all get to open one present on Christmas Eve and it is always new pajamas!  

Christmas morning was fun we had the kids wait on the stairs and we had each one come in to see what santa had left for them.  It was so fun to see each one and the reaction on their faces as they found their stuff.  Once again we were all spoiled this Christmas!

We have each of the kids lay out all their presents when we are done so we can see what they got.  In all the commotion of opening we miss half of what they open and love to see what they got!

A Winter Wonderland!!!

We spent 6 days this past week in Island Park at our family cabin and had a great time.  We took our snowmobiles and the kids were out in the snow 24 hrs. a day!  We did a lot of snowmobiling, reading, playing games, watching movies, doing a very hard puzzle, and just relaxing.  We love to go to the cabin and enjoy the beautiful setting.  We have such great memories each time we go and spend time there.  

The river was almost all the way frozen over.  There were a ton of swan that

 we were able to watch each day on the river.  We also were able to watch the 

eagle fly around the cabin a few days. 

Here are the kids all ready to go to church.  It started snowing Sunday

 morning and didn't stop until Monday night.

Jon and I went on a ride one day up the Bishop Mountain trail and we were the first ones who had been on the trail!  It was great to be the first to plow right thru the fresh snow.

Jack loved to be outside with the kids and had a smile on his face the 

whole time!  He also thought that every time you come in you have to have hot chocolate!  Needless to say we went thru a lot of hot chocolate the few days we were up there. 

 

Decorating For Christmas!

The kids love every year to help me decorate the tree in our family room.  I let them put all the decorations on this tree.  Each of them get a new ornament each year and they get to hang all their own ornaments wherever they want on this tree.

We had our ward Christmas party and we all dressed up!  It was a night in Bethlehem and we went back in time to where Christ was born.  It was a nice night and the ward did a great job.

Thanksgiving at the Robisons!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week with all of the Smith family here.  We were able to have everyone come to Logan and spend sometime at our house.  It was so fun to let the cousins get together and spend 24 hours a day playing!  The adults did their share of late night games and movies also.  

Jack and Kathryn were the best of cousins all week long!

One afternoon we were able to go to the Logan Temple and do baptisms for the dead.  It was such a great experience to have all the kids with their parents and their Grandparents in the temple together. 

Steve and Alan took the kids ice skating the day before Thanksgiving so the rest of us could get some of the baking and cooking done without all the kids around.  They had a great time and didn't want to leave when we came to pick them up!

One day we went up Blacksmith Fork Canyon and did some geocaching.  It was fun to find some treasures right here in our backyard!

We got all the older kids and adult men and they had a great time playing football!  They had so  much fun that most of them had to come in and shower again before we could have our Thanksgiving dinner!

Once again we tried to get a family picture, but thanks to Jack we couldn't get a very good one!  He was keeping everyone else laughing but his own family!

Thanks to all of you who traveled to come to Logan.  We had a great week playing games, eating and shopping!  Our kids are still talking about how much fun they have with their cousins.  

Finally Twilight is Here!

Brianna and her friends have been so excited for the movie to start.  They all went and made shirts to wear.  They all went together the day it came out.  I went to the midnight showing with my friends so I would know if it was ok for Brianna to go and see it.  The things we do for our kids!  I sacrificed my sleep to preview the movie so she could go and see it.

Carrie Underwood Concert!

Brianna, Heidi & I got tickets with a bunch of their friends to go see Carrie Underwood.  It was a fun night and a great concert.  I really don't know why I went, except that I was the chaperon for the concert.  

I drove down earlier in the day with three of my friends that got tickets also.  We spent the afternoon shopping and going out to eat.  Brianna and Heidi came with all their friends when school was out.  I only saw them as they came into the concert and then they were even too embarrassed to sit by me so they sat on the other end of the row!  

It was a fun night and fun too see my two girls having a great time at their first concert.
