Mexican Riviera Cruise Thanksgiving 2011

We spent our Thanksgiving with the Smith family on a cruise. We had been planning this for quite awhile and the kids were so excited to go. We met everyone on the cruise ship in Los Angeles and the party began! The kids were in heaven with all the drinks, pina colodas & milkshakes you wanted. Of course the first place we went was to the buffet to start eating!

The first night we all had to sit at different tables until they found a place for our large group. After the first night they found a place for the 27 of us to sit in the same area with all the kids at tables and the adults at one table. We had a great time each night visiting & eating. I think we ordered at least one of everything if not more off the menu.


Our first stop was Ensenada, Mexico

We took a bus out to an area where they had a little shopping district and La Bufadora. Which is a famous blowhole, but we arrived at low tide so not much was happening.

We spent two days in Cabo San Lucas. This is us being tendered over by boats. We got off the boat and hired a couple little boats to take us over to Lover's Beach.

Jack went out and tried to snorkel but the water was pretty rough where we were from all the crazy boats that kept coming in and out of the area.

The second day in Cabo we hired another little boat to take us over to a beach called the Office. We spent a couple hours just laying on the beach. The kids had a blast buying stuff from the vendors that would walk by with there items for sell. Jack learned real fast that you bargain with them and they will go down in price. He bought quite a bit for his $10!

After a couple hours on the beach Alan and his boys and our family decided to go and para sail. It was so fun to watch all the kids get to go up. It is definitely something they will never forget.

This was a guy that would stand and just pose as people were walking by. He waved Heidi over and handed her his gun so she could get a picture with him.

I think the kids were a little scared of him!

All the grand kids goofing off on deck one night. They all bought ponchos for their souvenirs and they needed them the last few days of our cruise. It turned very cold and rainy for Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day

We had a great week with our family and with all the cousins. Even though some of the kids got a little sick and spent some time in the cabin we all had a great time making memories that will last forever.

Halloween 2011

Halloween was again filled with our traditions! I work on the hundreds of sugar cookies while the kids help Dad with the carving of the pumpkins. It was a beautiful day the day we decided to do everything so they were able to carve outside on the driveway.

Mallory was a witch and made her own costume this year. Heidi just went with the Dr. look for this year!


The kids pumpkins turned out so cute. Each one was unique and they all came up with their designs on their own. We tried to get Jack to act normal for the picture and he wouldn't!

Hiking the Wellsville Mountains

I spent a day with some girlfriends hiking the Wellsville Mountains. It was a beautiful day & a very long one. It took us 7 hrs to do the hike, but boy was it worth it. The scenery with the fall colors & the view from the top was amazing! Everytime I look out my kitchen window & see those mountains I will think differently about them now!

Cutting Wood

We spent the weekend cutting wood for the cabin. The kids all love to go & try to find the dead trees that we can cut down. The kids are in charge of getting all the logs to the trailer & stacking them. When we get back to the cabin the Dads split & the kids take it to the basement & stack it. They all worked really hard & had fun with ther cousins.

Brianna even came for the weekend to help! This tells you how much fun we have while working. She said she didn't want to miss out!

Red Ribbon Run

BYU Football Game

We spent the weekend in Provo for a BYU Football game. They were playing Utah State so it was a great way for us to cheer on which ever team was winning at the time! It was fun to spend time with Birianna & catch up on what she is doing at BYU. She is loving it & doing well. We had a great time watching the game. It brought back a lot of memories for Jon & I. BYU did end up winning in the end.

Jon celebrated his birthday this year with just some of the family. I guess we know when our kids are getting older & only two of the five are around to help us celebrate his birthday! Heidi & Mallory were at a football game and Brianna was at BYU. So just the boys & I helped him celebrate his birthday. We took him out to dinner & then came home to open presents & have cake. It was a little bit of a somber day for us, as it was the first birthday Jon celebrated without his Dad. He & his Dad share the same birthday and this was a hard year for that. We still think of Grandpa each & everyday. It was sad to not have him here celebrating like in years past with us!

Happy Birthday Jon! We love you! We know we give you a hard time most of the time but we do love and appreciate all that you do for our family.

Lake Powell

We spent a few days in Lake Powell again this year. We went with two other families and had a great time. We stayed in the Antelope Point Marina and just went out each day from there to do our boating & cliff jumping. We had beautiful weather most of the time with nice cool nights.

Jack finally jumping after a lot of encouragment from all of us. He loved it once he did it!

Heidi had a little accident with her wakeboard! She took a pretty hard fall & the wakeboard came up and cut her head open. It was deep enough that Jon felt like it needed some stiches. Luckily our friend Mike had all the supplies they needed to stitch her up on the houseboat & save us a trip to the hospital.

Heidi trying her best to be brave! She did great, but I think that pour Joanne's hand she was holding will never be the same from her squeezing it so hard!

We had a wonderful week with friends, yummy food, games & lots of fun! Thanks Broadbent's & Willis's for the great week!

5th Lotoja

Once again Jon had a crazy idea that it would be fun to train hard all summer and then in September do a 206 mile bike race from Logan to Jackson Hole! He spent endless hours on his bike and did every bike race or ride that he could to prepare for the day. It is always a fun weekend for the rest of us, as we watch and support him along the way. He did great again this year. We are so proud of him and the great accomplishment that this is.

1st Day of School 2011

It was again a sad day for me to see the kids leave for school and know that summer was over! I love the fun times we have in the summer and all the activities that we cram in to such a short time. Once again we had a great summer. It was also a hard day for me not having Brianna here to take a picture of her on the first day of school. I told her to take one and send me but of course she didn't!!

20th Anniversary

Jon & I celebrated our 20th anniversary today! We have had 20 great years and have been blessed with five wonderful children. We hate to see the years passing so fast! As we start to see our kids leaving for college it is a sad thing. I'm so lucky to have such an awesome husband who provides for our family & takes care of us. I know it is not an easy thing to put up with me & I appreciate all that he does. I look forward to spending many more years celebrating our anniversary together! I love you Jon!

With Grandpa Robison's funeral the day before Brianna & Heidi's birthdays they didn't get much of a birthday this year. We did buy a cake and have it with the family the night before their birthday. Then on their actual birthday we were traveling home & Brianna was on her way to Lake Powell with one of her cousins. Heidi did get to have a Sweet 16 birthday party later in the week with her friend Tara. They had a party at Tara's and invited all their friends.

Grandpa Robison's Funeral

Grandpa Robison passed away on July 30th. He taught us all by his example to serve the Lord. Grandpa will always be remembered for having his scriptures with him wherever he was. He made us laugh a lot the past year of his life with his funny quirks! We miss him dearly but will never forget the great man he was.

Our last visit with Grandpa before he passed away. This was taken five days before he died.

Robison Family Reunion

We had the Robison reunion at the cabin again this year. We went up a few days early with our family so we could take the boat out on the reservoir and also go thru Yellowstone Park one day.

I was able to go to girls camp for the week with Mallory & Heidi. It was stake camp this year and we went to Heber Valley. It is a beautiful girls camp with lots of activities to do during the week. We had a great time & it was especially nice to be there with my girls.

They have different challenge courses for the girls to do & the one we did this year was the big swing. It was a lot of fun!

Lake Powell June 2011

We spent a few days at Lake Powell for on of our summer vacations. We found a small cliff for the kids to jump off of & they had a greattime going back each day to jump.

We were staying in a hotel in Page, so each night we would come in as it was getting dark and head to our hotel for a nice warm shower and a good nights sleep!

We even found a little cliff that Jack had fun jumping off!

We were able to attend Melissa & Josh's wedding in

the Salt Lake Temple. The kids had a great time staying in the hotel for the weekend with all their cousins and getting to swim and play. The wedding was wonderful and the reception was so beautiful. They held it at Thanksgiving point outside in one of the gardens and it was so nice.

CLASS OF 2011

Brianna graduated from Sky View High School! We can't believe how fast the time has gone. She has been excepted to BYU and will start there in August. Our family is slowly getting smaller and we are so sad to see her leave.

Jack had a kindergarten program and a little graduation party that I attended. It is so sad to think that I have one graduating from high school and one graduating from kindergarten. Our family is growing up and changing. I wish I could just freeze time and keep them all at this age!

Disneyland 2011

This is a long post and I really did try to be selective on the pictures but I had too many I wanted to share. We had a great week in Southern California at Disneyland. We spent 3 days at Disneyland, 1 day at Magic Mountain and 1 day at the beach. We were running each day but had a great time and made lots of great memories with the kids.

Jon's brother Dave and his family came to Disneyland one day with us. We a fun time riding all the rides with them and learning the true way you do Disneyland. They had a system to it and it was great to go with them. We hardly stood in a line all day with them.

Caleb celebrated his birthday while we were in California. He turned 9 this year! He had a fun time waking up in the hotel to decorations and a few presents.

He even got a baskin robbins ice cream cake for his birthday!

Caleb & Jon worked very hard on his pinewood derby car again this year. I'm not sure if it was Caleb's or Jon's pinewood derby! Caleb did help and was with him on every step of making the car, but Jon was very into it this year! I guess it paid off because Caleb won 1st place!

Pocatello Tax Day Race

It's that time of year that Jon pulls the bike out and dusts it off from sitting all winter in the garage. This was a race that was early on in the season and he hasn't been able to get out and ride much so he did it for fun.

Spring Break in California

We had a great spring break in California staying at Grandma & Grandpa Smiths house. We spent most of our time out by the pool! It was a little cooler than we wanted but we did get a few good days to enjoy the sunshine. When we weren't by the pool you could find us at a mall doing some shopping!

Jack liked to just stay right by the edge. The water was too cold for him!

One day we went and toured the Jelly Belly factory. It was fun to see how they make all the different flavors and we especially loved the area where you could taste whatever flavor you wanted!

This year was the first year that all of us were able to ski together. You could find us most Saturdays up at Beaver Mountain skiing for part of the day. It was so nice to be able to ski as a family.

Caleb Science Fair

Caleb wanted to participate in this years science fair so Jon & him decided to do the paper rocket launcher. He had a great time learning how it worked and making the paper rockets so he could demonstrate them to his school. He practiced his speech a lot so when he had to give to the judges he would be able to answer any questions they had. He did a great job and took 1st place for the third graders.

For family night we made homemade Valentine cards for each other. We all got to buy each other their favorite candy bar. We did the traditional doorbell ditching for our Valentine's day!

Mallory's 12th Birthday

Mallory turned "12" today!

She is officially one of the Beehives now! It will be so fun to have all 3 girls in YW at the same time for at least a few months before Brianna moves on.

I surprised Mallory and made her a nice comfy blanket for her birthday.

She finally got to get her ears pierced! She was so excited but a little nervous also. We took the whole family including Grandma & Grandpa Smith to the mall to watch her get them pierced.

Sweethearts Dance

Brianna all ready for dinner and the dance. She had spent all morning with her group here at our house. They started early in the morning making breakfast at our house. Then they stayed and played games until about 1 o'clock. They played board games and then the wii. They had a great time making breakfast. They didn't want my help until it was time to make the sourdough pancakes.

Winter Break In Maui!

Jon & I were able to get away for a week and go to Maui again. It is becoming my favorite winter break vacation. It is so nice to get out of Logan during the most ugly & cold weather months. We went with two of Jon's brothers and their wives and then also our friends Mike & Joanne. Jon had meetings that he went to each morning & then we hung out by the pool or biked in the afternoon.

One day we went on a whale watching tour & that was a lot of fun. We were able to see a lot of whales.

Jon wanted to bike up Haleaakala again this time. It is a terrible ride all uphill. He must have forgot how hard it was because he wanted to do it again! It wasn't any easier this time.

We biked around the west side of Maui one day. It is a beautiful ride and the scenery is just unbelievable!

We ended at this ladies house that sells shaved ice. This us sitting in her backyard enjoying the view while we cool off and get ready for the ride back. We had a great week with perfect weather.

Heidi Receives Her Young Women's Medallion

Heidi has worked hard to finish her personal progress for Young Women's and was able to receive her Young Women's Medallion. We are proud of her and the hard work that she put for to finish all the projects.

Christmas Break & New Years Eve 2010

We spent the week between Christmas and New Years at the cabin. We had a great time just hanging out in our pajamas or sweats and snowmobiling all day long. It was super cold so we didn't go far on the snowmobiles. We did try one day and we were frozen and everyone was in tears by the time we made it back to the cabin.

We taught Jack how to drive the little snowmobile this year and he had a great time outside. All he wanted to do was be outside and he didn't care that it was 0 degrees outside!

Jack even brought his puzzle he got for Christmas and was able to put it together each day.

Jon tried our new sledding tube out on the river. He decided it was safe so Mallory went next, unfortunately Mallory slid a little too far and her leg went into the river!

We even banged our pans at midnight. I'm sure the neighbors wondered what was happening but we had a great time!

Christmas Eve Family Picture!

We had a wonderful evening eating and ready the scripture account of our Savior's birth while the kids did the nativity. They did a great job putting all the costumes together and acting it out.

We had a wonderful Christmas just spending time together as a family. We feel so blessed once again. We are so grateful for all that we have and for this time of year that we have to reflect on our Savior's birth.

The kids love to help decorate the tree for Christmas. This is the one that I let them do all the decorating so most of the ornaments are down low where they can reach. They do fight over who gets to stand on the ladder

and put some up higher!

It's not Christmas without a visit to the mall to sit on Santas lap! Some of our kids thought they were too old to sit so they just jumped in for the picture.

For family night one week we decided to go to Temple Square and see the lights. Jon had a great idea that we should add some adventure to the night so we took the frontrunner train from Ogden to Salt Lake. It was fun on the way there, but on the way home there were way too many screaming out of control kids that got on when we did and it made it a very long ride back to Ogden! But we still enjoyed the lights and Temple Square.

Thanksgiving at the Robisons!

This year we stayed home for Thanksgiving and had part of the Smith family here for the holiday. We had a fun time with lots of snow! The kids had a great time sledding each day and playing in our backyard on the snowmobiles.

We took a drive to hardware ranch one day to see the Elk. We tried this a few years ago and there were no Elk, so we were grateful to see some this year! It was freezing cold so we stayed only long enough to get a couple of pictures.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a great time just relaxing and enjoying one anothers company. It is always nice to get together with the family. The kids and adults all had a great time!

We decided this year to carve pumpkins in the garage. It was the best thing we have ever done! No mess in the house and very easy clean up.

Pumpkin Walk 2010

We got talked into heading up a scene at our cities Pumpkin Walk this year, so Jon has been busy painting pumpkins for the past few weeks. There were about seven other families that each had a part they had to do and then we all met and set it up this week. The theme for the Pumpkin Walk this year was "The Power of Animation". We chose (or was told by a good friend, who volunteered us for this!) that we would be doing Toy Story! Another set of families in our neighborhood did "A Bugs Life". It was a lot of work to get it to come together but to watch the kids and parents as they walk thru and get so excited about the scene is great. It was worth all the work. It is free to anyone who wants to walk thru and they have 1000's of people come for the five days it is open. Schools come clear from Ogden to see it. I was able to walk with Jack's kindergarten class thru it and he was so excited to tell all his friends what we did to help with it. The scenes were amazing this year.

Our family was in charge of the pig and slink the dog. Jon did a great job on them! He worked hard and as with anything he does they were perfect. He is such a perfectionist, I think he painted them a hundred times to get them to look just like the ones from the movie.

Each morning I have to go over and make sure all the pieces are still on and withstanding the winter weather we have been having. We also have music playing all day that I turn on. At night it is all lit up and amazing to see all the scenes.

Tennis 2010

Brianna & Heidi both made the high school girls tennis team this year. It has been a fun couple of months watching both of them play and improve. It was hard at times to choose who to watch, as they played at the same time at different courts, but we made it work. They both had a great year and did well. This was Briannas last year and she was able to place 1st in the Region for 2nd jv singles. We are proud of both of them and the hard work they put forth to improve their game.

Red Ribbon Run 2010

Mallory, Caleb and Jack wanted to do the Red Ribbon Run again this year so Jon and I signed up to do it with them. Jack and I did the 1 mile and the rest of them did the 3 mile. It was a fun activity to do with the kids on a Saturday morning. They all did great and finished the run.

It was that time of year again to try and get a family picture! Oh I hate this! It is so stressful for me to try and get everyone ready and looking at least halfway decent. It is getting a little easier as the kids get older. We had someone take our picture this time, instead of us setting up our own camera and running to get back in the picture. It was so nice! She did a great job and it was fast. We were only there for about 30 minutes and we were done.

Caleb is so excited to be in scouts and he was able to receive his 1st badge at pack meeting tonight. This scout thing is all new to us so we are still trying to figure it out!

Jon was able to spend a few hours celebrating his birthday with his Dad who has the same birthday. We were on our way to the cabin on their birthdays so we stopped in Idaho Falls and had dinner and birthday cake with them. It was a nice evening and it made it special to be able to share it with Dad.

LOTOJA 2010

It's that time of year again when after a very long spring and summer of training and spending hours on his bike Jon did LOTOJA. It is a very exciting day but also very tiring! You never know how your body or bike will hold up for the 206 miles that are required to finish. Jon started bright and early this year. He had put in lots of time doing races and rides all summer and was in great shape for the day. We saw him off at the start line and then headed home to pack the car. Jon didn't want to stop in Preston so the first time we saw him was in Montpelier.

Here he is coming in to the 2nd feed zone. He surprised us with how fast he made it. We weren't quite ready so it was a little crazy! He barely stopped to grab a few new water bottles and was off. He wanted to stay with the group he road in with so he didn't stop long, maybe at the most 30 seconds!

He crossed the finish line in 10 hours 9 minutes!

Here he is with a bunch of friends that he has trained with for the big day.

For homecoming week, Brianna was able to play some football. It is called powderpuff. This is where the girls are the football players and the boys are the cheerleaders. It is quite the sight! Brianna ended up with a few bruises but she had a blast doing it! It turned out to be a good game and her team won. Way to go Brianna!

Here we are again taking the traditional pictures on the front steps before the kids head to school for the first day! We have had a great summer with lots of fun trips, family reunions and going to the lake.

The Ultimate Challenge

We spent the weekend in Park City so Jon could do a bike ride. He started in Park City and ended at Snowbird. It was 100 miles with 10,900 feet of climbing.

We did some shopping in Park City and then we got there to watch him do the last big climb and cheer him on.

Brianna is 17 and Heidi is 15! Wow where has the time gone. We are so proud of each of them and the great young women they are. The are great examples to their sister and brothers. We are so blessed to have two beautiful teenagers! Happy birthday girls we love you!

We went to Pocatello for their birthdays to celebrate with their Aunt Becky and Uncle Jay who have the same birthday as them. We had a nice day visiting and watching the kids play. They got a cake with a tennis theme since Brianna and Heidi both made the high school girls tennis team.

Pirates of the Cabin

We had a fun filled Robison family reunion at the cabin. The theme was the Pirates of the Cabin and all our activities centered around that. Steve and Ellen did a great job of planning everything. Thank you for all your hard work!

We started the reunion with a hike to Union Falls. It was a 14 mile hike. Brianna, Heidi and Mallory went from our family. Jon had to work so he came to the cabin a day after we did.

New York Summer Vacation

We spent a week in New York for our summer vacation. My parents are serving a Temple mission in Palmyra New York so we took the kids back to see the pageant and all the church history sites. We started our trip with a few days in New York City. We had a great time and ran our legs off for one week.

We flew out of Salt Lake City on the red eye! It was a long night but most of the kids did sleep a little.

The place we had arranged to pick us up was a little confused and sent too small a car at first and the only other option to get 7 of us to our hotel was a limo. The kids thought this was great and loved it!

We met up with Jon's niece Niki and her two kids and they spent the afternoon with us.

The kids had to walk all over the museum to find this statue from the movie Night at the Museum!

We went over to Brooklyn to have dinner with Niki and Rick at a pizza place that was so good! Then we decided to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Jack loved the subways. He usually didn't get a seat all to himself, but this was really late one night on the way back to our hotel.

We got pretty tired of McDonalds for breakfast. We ate here every morning!

This picture does not show how hard it is raining. We got done with Ellis Island and it started pouring down rain. We stopped and bought a few more umbrellas for us, although we were already drenched!

Our hotel was right on Times Square so each night we had fun walking back to the hotel and seeing all the people still out.

We were able to get tickets to Mary Poppins and we all loved it. It was amazing what they do with the stage for the performances.

We left New York City and drove to Niagra Falls. We spent one night in Canada and met up with my family the next day. Mom and Dad Smith were even able to come to Canada to go to the Falls with us.

Brianna, Heidi & Jon were able to go to the Palmyra Temple and do baptisms. I stayed out with the younger kids but did go in for a few minutes and watched the girls get baptized.

This is how we all felt after a week of running. We had a great trip and were exhausted getting on the plane to go home. It was fun to spend some time with my family and get to see where Grandma & Grandpa Smith are living and serving right now.

The 4th of July this year we spent in Provo for the Carrie Underwood concert. We left Logan early Saturday morning and of course stopped to do some shopping at Gateway! That was Jon's favorite thing! Then we headed to BYU and walked around the campus. The kids shopped in the bookstore and then we had hamburgers for dinner from the Canon Center. The concert and fireworks were amazing. Brianna was with us but she had a ticket by

her friend Ashley for the concert.

EFY 2010

Brianna & Heidi were able to attend EFY here in Logan. They left each morning early and then came home at night. It was fun to hear all about their day and what they had learned or done when they got home. Their cousins Taylor & Brooklyn came and stayed with us for the week.

High Uinta Bike Race

This is Jon's 4th year doing this bike race. It starts in Kamas, UT and goes 80 miles over to Evanston, WY

Jon on the climb! It is pretty much 47 miles of climbing from the start and then the rest is downhill but you have to get to the top first!

Island Park

Jon took the kids on a mountain bike ride while we were in Island Park for the week. The kids said it was a hard ride! Jon said it was beautiful and easy!

West Yellowstone

We decided this trip to tryout fishing. We bought some poles and drove to Henry's Lake and fished for 3 hours. We didn't catch any fish and no bites!

We got home from the lake and Jack wanted to fish more so Jon took him down to the dock. Jack casted his little spiderman fishing pole and on the first cast he had a fish! It was a rainbow fish about 14 inches long! Unfortunately Jon didn't take the camera because he didn't think they would catch anything so we have no proof! But Jack was too excited to tell the rest of us for it to just be a story.

Caleb's Baptism

Caleb turned 8 in May and was baptized today. It was a very special day and he was so excited but very nervous also. We appreciate everyone who came and all the gifts and phone calls.

Grandma & Grandpa Robison were able to be here for the special day. Grandma & Grandpa Smith are serving a mission in Palmyra right now.

Caleb was able to have his own baptism so it was just our family that did the program. All the kids had a part and they did a great job preparing. It was great to just sit and be able to listen to ours kids do the music, prayers and talks. (The only decent family picture we got. As you can see Jack is his normal goofball self!)

Girls Camp

I had the opportunity to go to girls camp this year with Brianna and Heidi. We had a great week up Logan canyon at Camp Lomia. It was fun to get to know the girls and the other leaders a little better.

A few weeks before we left all the young women got together to tie dye our camp shirts. They all turned out so different!

Yard Work Again!

We spent one whole saturday working putting down new bark in the front of our house. It was a big job and the kids all had to help. We would fill home depot buckets and then it was their job to take it and spread it in the planters. It looks so nice, I just wish the bark would stay looking nice and not all faded from the sun.

After working in the yard all day Brianna took the boys to an air show at our airport. They had fun sitting and looking at all the planes.

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day in Island Park and on our way home we stopped in Idaho Falls to go and take flowers to some of the graves. It was nice to take our kids and telling them a little bit about some of the ancestors that they didn't know.

Caleb was so excited to turn 8 so he could make a car for the pinewood derby. I don't know how much he helped with the car but he did do a little bit on it. It was fun to watch all the cars and learn what we need

to do for next year.

Jack's Preschool Graduation

Jack graduated from preschool today. Wow! What a sad day for me. It is fun to see your kids growing up but hard at the same time. He is so excited to go to Kindergarten next year and ride the bus. He has loved preschool and all the things that he has learned.

Brianna's Sprint Triathlon

Brianna decided a few months ago that she wanted to try and do a sprint triathlon. Her school was having one so so started training for a few months. She worked hard preparing and was able to accomplish her goal.

Spring Piano Recital

Mallory and Heidi had their piano recital and did a great job. I'm so thankful to have kids who love to play the piano and who I don't have to beg to practice. They love to just sit down and play anytime of the day. Caleb also started piano this year and has worked hard and is doing great on all his songs. Brianna has been teaching him, so he didn't have a recital.

3rd Year for the Greenville Mile

Mallory made her school mile race for the 3rd year in a row. She has been working hard to train and get faster. They choose the fastest 3 girls in each class and then they all race at the end of the school year. We are proud of her and the hard work she put forth to make it again.

Jon & I took a weekend and went with five other couples to Moab for a few days. This is the second year we have done this and we had a great time. We took our

road & mountain bikes and did a little of both.

I was glad I made that decision when Jon came back and he was pretty beat up. He came away from the ride this day with a few cracked ribs and is still recovering!

Jack had a fun day celebrating Jack's 5th birthday. He wanted to go to McDonalds for lunch so we went and he ate and played in the playset. Spring Break In St. George

We spent spring break in St. George with 8 other families. We all rented condos in the same little community so the kids could go back and forth from one to the other. They had a great time riding their bikes all over the neighborhood. It was a gated little community and we took up most of the condos so we didn't have to worry about them getting lost. We did a few bike rides, hikes and pretty much sat by the pool. It was a fun week enjoying the nice weather.

Jon takes the kids up to Beaver Mountain each Saturday to ski and today he decided to sign Caleb up for a snowcross race. We weren't sure if Caleb would even do it, but he did. He thinks he took 4th place! Little does he know he did take 4th in the 4 boys that he was with but there were a lot of others that raced also. We didn't burst his bubble, we just let him think he took 4th. Way to go Caleb!!

Sweethearts Dance

It was girls choice so Brianna asked Jordan Hill to sweethearts. For their day date they went to a school and played games in the gym. They were in a group with 20 other couples. They went to dinner then the dance. After the dance they went to one of the girls houses and had a chocolate foutain and watched a movie. Brianna had a great time and was so beautiful!

Mallory celebrated her 11th birthday today! Wow where have the years gone. I remember so clearly the night she was born. We still wonder where they blond hair and blue eyes came from. She has definately brought joy to our family. She always keeps us on our toes with her funny comments or things she does. We love you Mallory!

Mallory wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for her birthday dinner. They make all those with a birthday sit on a saddle and they sing to them.

Mallory wanted a room makeover for her birthday so that is what she got. Jon has been working hard to paint and put up beadboard in her room. It is finally done and she can sleep in her new room now!

Skiing at Grand Targhee & Family Time at the Cabin

In January we had a week off so we took some of it and went to the cabin. We decided to go to Grand Targhee one day and ski. The only problem was that Jack has never skiied and we wanted to go as a family. So we decided to all go and we put Jack in ski school for the morning and then in the afternoon I stayed on the bunny hill and skiied with him. He loved it and didn't want to stop when it was time to go home.

The next few pictures are of the kids having fun at the cabin with all the snow and just playing outside. They love to pull each other behind the little snowmobile around the cabin.

Christmas Vacation In Las Vegas

We headed to Las Vegas after Christmas to go to Kayla & Trents wedding. We had a great weekend spending time with the family. It was nice to be there with Kayla & Melissa as they went thru the temple. Congratulations Kayla & Trent!

Another year has come and gone. We have had a great year and are so grateful for all that we have been blessed with. I'm grateful for my family and for an awesome husband that supports us and especially puts up with me!

Thanksgiving 2009

We spent Thanksgiving at the cabin this year. Part of the Robisons were there and we had a great weekend. It has been a few years since we have gotten together for Thanksgiving and the kids had a great time. Caleb even got to go get a few stitches above his eye from sledding. There wasn't much snow and he hit his eye on a piece of wood!

We started a few weeks ago celebrating Halloween by making sugar cookies. The kids love to make them and help with all the cutting out and frosting. Jon likes to eat all of them! We made 110 cookies on a friday and by Saturday night they were gone! Now the kids had a few but I think Jon ate almost all of them!

Oh the joys of family pictures! I don't know if there is anything more stressful for me than this. I decided we needed to try and get a family picture before the weather turned bad so we hurried and got us all ready one afternoon after school and drove to a park near our house. We decided we would just take the pictures ourselves since it is so hard to get all of us looking at the camera and we have a few children who still don't like pictures taken! I have to say that the pictures we got are better than I expected. I'm just glad to have it over with!

As you can tell in most of the pictures Jack is a handful and is goofy in each of the pictures we tried to take!
