Happy Halloween!

We started celebrating Halloween last week.  Caleb and Mallory were out of school on Thursday and Friday for parent teacher conference so we made our sugar cookies.  The kids always love to help me make them and it seems to take twice as long and twice the mess!  I guess that is why I only make them once a year!

We had a Halloween Carnival to go to last Friday night for Mallory's school.  The kids got to dress up and go around to all the booths and play the games.  They love to go each year and play the games and then they have pizza there for dinner.  Mallory this year is a cave girl!   Our neighbor sprayed her hair and did her make-up for her.

Jack is our "1" eyed beaver!  I found the costume for him but didn't realize that it was missing an eye until I got it home!  So we just tell people he got in a fight!

Caleb is our scary vampire this year!!

Does anyone know this guy?????

Jon and I had a costume party to go to on Saturday night.  Some friends of ours went all out and did a huge party.  We played fear factor and that was a lot of fun.  As soon as I get some pictures of that I will post them.  Both Jon and I competed for our team and it was pretty scary some of the stuff they had us eating and doing!

We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather here all week so we carved our pumpkins outside this year.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
We hope you all have a fun  and safe night.  It is sad as your kids get older they start going out with their friends instead of their parents.  Jon and I are both home tonight and our kids are out with friends.

Heidi & Mallory Do The Red Ribbon Run

On October 11th Heidi and Mallory braved the freezing weather and did a 5K red ribbon run.  We woke up to snow and a temperature of about 30 degrees!  They were determined to do the run though and put all the warm clothes on they could find and did a great job!

Here we are braving the snowstorm
(that the picture does not show,
but it was snowing!)
We were freezing waiting for them to come across the finish line.

Mallory, Heidi and Lexie (Heidi's friend) having a fun time running together.

The finish line with their medals.  Great job girls we are proud of you!

Brianna's Last Tennis Tournament

A few weeks ago we went and watched Brianna's last tennis tournament of the year.  It was here in Logan and was a tournament between all the high schools here in the valley.  They played 8 different teams for 30 minutes each.  Each time they would go back and report there score and the school with the most wins won the tournament.  Her school took 2nd in the doubles and 1st in the singles.  She has had a great year and has improved her game.  She loved getting to know all the girls and had a great time traveling all over Utah for her matches.

Brianna we are proud of you and the hard work that you put forth this year to do so well.  We have had a great time following you from place to place to watch you play.  Way to go and great job!

Love,
Your Family

Cutting Wood For The Cabin

We spent conference weekend up in Island Park cutting wood for the cabin.  It was beautiful the day we cut wood, but turned rainy and cold the rest of the weekend.  Luckily we were able to get there early enough in the day and get all the work done the first day so we could enjoy the rest of the weekend.  The trees are all starting to change colors and it definitely felt like fall there.

We had lots of help so the kids didn't have to carry as much as they have in the past.  Mallory sure was enjoying herself!

Jack was a big help!  He spent the day in the back of the car just watching!

Jon loves to go up and do this every couple of years.  It reminds him of growing up and doing it with his Dad and brothers.  It is a fun time and good for all of us to get out and work a little bit as a family.

Caleb did his share of carrying even though he got tired pretty fast!

Brianna was working hard also!  She designated herself the photographer for the day!
